Hello again!!

Howdy! I just knew that as soon as school was over I would have all the time in the world to update this thing and keep it up. Well I have been super busy and enjoying my time off from studying and have fallen down on the job! Let me give you a brief overview of what we've been up to since August 4th...

I had a White Coat Ceremony where I received a long white coat to signify my entry into the PA profession. My dad took some pics and hopefully I will get them up soon. John and his family, along with mine came in support and I am so grateful to have such an amazing group of people in my life. Without them I could not have survived the last two years! They helped maintain my sanity!

Since September I have half-heartedly been looking for a job. John is so supportive of me and wants me to find the right job. He doesn't want me to settle and has been super patient. So I am about to get real serious about this job hunting. I would like to find a full time position in an outpatient setting either in family medicine or pediatrics. Hopefully something will open up soon!

John and I took an awesome vacation to Playa del Carmen, Mexico! We had an absolute blast and enjoyed a week of relaxation and playtime. We did very little productive, but John did learn to sail which was the highlight I think. He is such an outgoing guy and he met people from Australia, California, Holland, Ireland and several other places. John is so fun to be married to and really makes up for my lack of gregariousness!

We have been able to spend lots of time with family and have loved every minute of it. Our nieces and nephews are doing wonderfully and we just can't get enough of them! To add to our blessings, my sister Carrie delivered a precious baby girl on October 29th. Mary Emma Brown was born at 8:50pm, weighing 6 pounds and 1 ounce with a length of 19 1/2 inches. She has a full head of dark hair and big eyes with long eyelashes. I got to be in the delivery room and it was one of the most amazing events in my life. I am already attached to and in love with this little girl. Carrie and Mary are both home and doing great. My brother-in-law Kevin is such a devoted husband and father and I think he is already wrapped around that tiny little pinky. John and I are so blessed with all these nieces and nephews and we have another on the way! John's sister-in-law Bridget is due at the end of January and we do not know the sex of the baby yet. Our families are growing and we love it!!

I guess that is all the biggest info I have at the moment. Life is sweet and John and I are so happy and enjoying our time together and with family. I will try to do better about updating and getting more pictures up. Hope all is well with everybody!!

Love, Laura
