Guess what?! I got a job!!! I am super excited to say that I am going to go to work for Dr. Vanderzant, a neurologist, at the Shannon Clinic! I think it is going to be a wonderful job with no call and no weekends. The benefits of working at such a big clinic are wonderful. He seems very nice and the atmosphere at his office is pretty laid back and comfortable. The nursing staff has been so kind and helpful to me. I am not sure when I get to start, but it will probably be after the first of the year. I can't wait to begin this new career! I have been going over my old neurology notes and trying to soak up every bit of info I can. That is the biggest news here I suppose.
Last weekend John and I went to Eldorado to help mark lambs, including our own lambs. It was a messy windy day, but we had a great time. John and I have 9 lambs to our 5 ewes, so we were quite pleased with our lamb crop. The little lambs are so adorable and I love being around all those baby animals! Our little niece Regan helped all day long and was such a trooper! I was so proud of her.

John and I finally put up a Christmas tree. We had a blast decorating it, as well as the outside of the house. We are planning to go to Eldorado for Christmas this year and are really looking forward to it. There are lots of kids on John's side of the family and so it is always fun to get to be with them on Christmas morning. John helped decorate his mom's and dad's house while we were there Saturday and it looks adorable. They put up lots of lights outside and it is great! John and I will celebrate Christmas with my side of the family the weekend after Christmas this year. So we will get to celebrate for a long time! Here is a picture of our tree and of John and Regan playing a video game in front of it.
In case I don't get back on here before the holidays, hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Laura
